Extra! Extra! Read all about it!

Chichester High School in Boothwyn, PA gets a new temporary press box. That’s right. You heard it right here in the Superior Sentinel. Chichester’s old press box is being replaced. The school that boasts the Eagles football team needed a way to broadcast their home games. The call went out to Superior Scaffold to help them build a temporary structure to get them through the season until a new permanent press box could be built. System scaffold was used because its adaptability with different elevations, especially while sitting directly on top of bleachers. See the pic of crews assembling the scaffolding above. Post...

Shoring Montgomery Mall (North Wales, PA) for an escalator drop

Not only was Superior Scaffold called in to provide shoring while new support columns were added - but then we had to shore up the bar joists and steel beams for 150 feet so crews could roll a 10,000 pound escalator into place on the floor above.  Pretty darn cool!  You can see to the left in this photo where crews cut a hole in the flooring for the new escalator. They were demoing a building and removing an old staircase.  That staircase was being replaced with that escalator. This job was done in phases. First step was adding new support columns so...

Bally’s Atlantic City Hotel and Casino cashes in with Superior Scaffold

Photos courtesy of Karl Kalbach. Bally’s Casino and Hotel in Atlantic City, turned to Superior Scaffold to get painting crews up to the high end of one of their buildings on the boardwalk. Crews needed to get all the way to the top of the building above world famous Harry's Oyster Bar and Sea Food restaurant to finish painting and refinishing, but their high reach couldn’t get them there. Superior erected a system scaffold around and in between the buildings and over the roof and since crews couldn’t tie in anywhere on the building, diagonal bracing was used throughout to keep everything leaning...

Safety is our number one priority

It's true.  I was going through some recent pics of some posts (say that 10 times) and I noticed that they all had one thing in common. Can you see it? I would hope it was pretty darn obvious. Unfortunately, in this day and age with all of the social media, texts, cell phones, and constant distractions, the bright red frames weren't enough to get people's attention.  We had to design an even brighter attention getter to help people look up.   And unless you were absolutely blasted on Boone's Farm or stumbling from a Ray Rice smash to the head you should...
