Bringing baby back (Bell, not ribs) 1631 Arch St., Philadelphia, PA

This great looking old structure was known as the Bell Telephone Building back in the day. But in the early 1980's the government broke up what was one of the largest monopolies in US history. This effectively took what was the Bell Telephone System and split it into entirely separate companies that would continue to provide telephone service. They would be known as baby Bells. But we are here to talk about our suspended scaffold on this Baby Bell Building. Click on that link to see what it looked like as restoration started. A house of many colors… Declaration (Graff) House, Jefferson House Scaffolding

This is the house where Thomas Jefferson drafted the Declaration of Independence, that all important document that would birth a nation. Jefferson rented several rooms at the home of Jacob Graff, Jr, a local bricklayer - thus, the one of many names for this house. And what’s crazy is that it’s a reproduction! The original structure was built in 1775 and then torn down at some point. This red-brick house at Seventh and Market streets was reconstructed in 1975. Superior Scaffold was called in to provide scaffold support and overhead protection so crews could repaint and repair all of the woodwork...

Suspended Scaffold & Canopy at Kennedy House

It’s 2017 people and we are “swinging” for the fences. Yes, I just said that. We are just glad that the weather is good and we can keep our clients happy. We’ve written about our work at the Kennedy House several times before, once for another canopy for some exterior repairs (you can read about it here) and the other time for our emergency services team protecting pedestrians (read about it here). This time we are here about the swing stages and canopy for the masonry repair and painting going on the exterior of this building.
