It’s official.  Someone’s ego is sufficiently inflated.  It seems that our very own marketing director has been moonlighting for the GBCA (General Building Contractors Association).  The latest issue features an article written by him – no pen name, no alias, no nom de plume to hide his identity just 3 big pages of well written prose and nifty photos crafted around the concept of “Like a Thief in the Night.”

The article details just how a scaffolding company (Superior Scaffold) goes about working on historic structures, erecting thousands of pounds of aluminum and steel without damaging the existing facade or outlying grounds.  It’s quite a feat, actually, if you stop to think about it for a minute.

Now, don’t tell mister ego – but the article was pretty entertaining and very easy to read.  And only those of us close to the machinery know that he also took the photos.  I’m going to recommend that he change his name to Captain Egostar and write any future articles under that alias so there is no conflict of interest.  We really hope that he sticks to his day job but we all know how those frustrated writers can be.  One taste of success and they are off dancing in their tutus and dreaming of greener pastures – or in this case larger erections.

Seriously, congrats to big E – and an even bigger shout out to the GBCA and Construction Today for including his article.  We are, and have been, proud members for a long time.  I urge all of you to check out the article, publication and their website.
