It’s always nice to be a part of a revitalization project, especially one that propels the westward expansion of Center City along the Schuylkill River.

Superior Scaffold was called in to provide sidewalk overhead protection for the Locust on the Park luxury loft-style apartments, retail and office space.  This once abandoned publishing plant that was previously home to the Lanston Monotype Company and then the National Publishing Company is being transformed into an artful mix of original architecture and modern finishes that will house 152 apartments.

The large sidewalk shed in front is 190’ long X 8’ wide X 10’ high with 4’ debris panels on top.

There is also 45’ lineal feet of work scaffold to reach the underside of the beam at the ramp by the front entrance.

The two large canopies in the back are 3’ wide X 120’ long X 10’ high with 4’ debris panels.  These are rather unique in that they are there just to protect the cars, and not have a pedestrian walkway down the center, as renovation work goes on overhead.
