Chichester High School in Boothwyn, PA gets a new temporary press box.
That’s right. You heard it right here in the Superior Sentinel. Chichester’s old press box is being replaced. The school that boasts the Eagles football team needed a way to broadcast their home games. The call went out to Superior Scaffold to help them build a temporary structure to get them through the season until a new permanent press box could be built.
System scaffold was used because its adaptability with different elevations, especially while sitting directly on top of bleachers. See the pic of crews assembling the scaffolding above.
Post shores were installed under bleacher seats directly under each scaffold leg for added support.
The scaffold is 7’ wide X 24’ long. It includes aluminum decking, a hook on ladder and a swing gate to access the top level. This temporary structure will be dismantled and removed after the football season.
Boothwyn’s Chichester Senior High School is a public school serving 1070 students in grades 9-12.
Not to be confused with Chichester in Sussex, England or the other famous Chi name–the soulful, melodic, band the Chi-Lites, formed in 1959 in Chicago, Illinois.
