There was no room for a traditional canopy or scaffold over the garage doors in the alley at 1500 Locust Street. But because of the restoration work going on overhead they needed something to protect pedestrians below.  So how do you solve the problem?  Leave it to a suspended scaffold expert to look up instead of down.

His idea was to cantilever a section of overhead protection out from the second floor of the parking structure!  It would span the gap over the gargage doors that the traditional canopy could not provide.  Problem solved!

This cantilever overhead protection system left enough room for the trucks and deliveries to get in and out of the narrow passage while providing the necessary protection for everyone below.

We also erected a traditional canopy down the rest of the block on Latimer St.  There was plenty of room to install that system scaffold.
