Premier Building Restoration is renovating the entire exterior of the Reading Terminal Market and this side has been challenging, to say the least. Now each of these could be its very own post but I thought I’d combine them into one article of cool scaffold jobs. The idea is to show two interesting applications for scaffolding that you might not have considered. Let’s start with this cantilever work deck at the newly renovated Arrott Transportation Center (originally the Margaret-Orthodox-Arrott station and formerly named Margaret-Orthodox station). Superior Scaffold does its part to help the rejuvenation of Wilmington’s central business district. We provided our TP-2500 transport platform and several mast climbing units to help BPGS construct this $75 million, 231 unit luxury apartment complex in downtown. The Residences at Mid-Town Park, located at 820 N. Orange St, are getting high end amenities such as 12,000 square feet of retail space, a 511 space parking garage, demonstration kitchens and dog-washing stations in each unit. A 1st Place win for the Superior Scaffold team at the Scaffold and Access Industry Association annual convention.A big shout out to the best scaffold building crew on the east coast for blazing a superfast time of 43 minutes 59 seconds, up, down and racked for a system scaffold in the ballroom at the Loews Philadelphia. The final tally was 133 points for our team. Train kept a’ rollin’ all night long – Amtrak Hamilton Station rocks a new platform

Superior Scaffold was called out to build an 1100 foot long temporary train platform at the Amtrak Hamilton Station in Trenton, NJ. Not only did crews have to work around the trains speeding past them at 85mph every 15 minutes but they had to work at night (in the dark) over a very busy weekend. (4,700 passengers per day) Imagine just getting your rhythm working when the whistle blows and you have to stop everything and wait for a passing train – every fifteen minutes. Ouch.
