Scaffold and Access Industry Magazine prints article about Superior and Our Lady of Lourdes

Superior Scaffold is in the center of the latest issue of SA Magazine for the work we did on Our Lady of Lourdes Medical Center. As we blogged before, it was all about how we secured the beloved statue on top of the building after the earthquake. Props go out to Gina Kellogg of SAIM - she did a great job! http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=UGyQT5xBYLs Here is a video tour of the scaffolding and the Mother Mary statue on top of Our Lady of Lourdes Medical Center in Camden, NJ. It clearly shows the damage that the earthquake did to her as well as the necessary guy-wires to hold her down in case of aftershocks. Superior Scaffold had to transport all of the scaffolding materials through a maze in the hospital and even assemble most of the sections on a lower roof and then hoist them up where they could be put into place. Superior Scaffold was called back to Our Lady of Lourdes to add another level of scaffolding to the existing structure so crews could more easily remove the sections of the statue of the Mother Mary. It has been taken down in sections and sent off for repair. As you know, it was damaged in the earthquake.
