Cantilever landing deck at Bryn Mawr Hospital
These are the kind of jobs that intrigue me. It’s not huge but it’s very cool and was designed for a unique purpose.
Superior Scaffold was brought in to help Philly D&M solve a problem. They needed more room to fly pre-fabricated wall panels up with a crane and then land them somewhere so there was enough room to lean them over and pull them inside onto the floor where they could be placed.
We designed a 23’ X 12’ cantilever landing deck that protruded out of the seventh floor giving crews just the extra room they needed to maneuver the large panels.
This platform was built using 28’ aluminum stringer beams, system scaffold and wood decking, designed with a load capacity of 2500 pounds.
It worked like a champ. We are proud to be helping with the new Bryn Mawr hospital project. We’ve got several canopies around the premises. (Read about them here).
