Saint Mark's Church, at 1625 Locust St., is undergoing some renovations and called Superior for the scaffold support and access it needed. The church was founded in 1847 and actually built between 1848 and 1849 and as an historic building needed the utmost care when completing said renovations. Crews install new hand-cut, Golden Jerusalem Limestone stairs at the Rodeph Shalom synagogue. The challenge was how to get the 25 treads, at 800 pounds each and 8 feet long, from their shipping crates set onto the staircase inside the building. The solution, from Superior Scaffold, came in the form of two high-load scaffold towers with an 18’ long steel beam running in between them, then incorporating a Hi Tech Patriot 1000 cable hoist to do the lifting. A more appropriate title would be: Sucking Old Life Out of 4601 Market. Say what? The former Provident Mutual Life Insurance campus is going to be turned into a new headquarters for the Philadelphia Police Department, Philadelphia Health Department, and City Morgue. As part of the redevelopment, Superior Scaffold is providing scaffolding support for the negative air enclosures. Yep, you heard correctly. I love to see our guys get creative with a scaffolding design. Not because they want to but because the location dictates the layout.This multi-tiered, multilevel scaffolding in the lobby at the Academy House Condominiums was just that kind of project from the base all the way up four stories.Crews needed to get to up to the plaster ceiling, 4 floors up inside the entry way, as part of their new remodel. The luxurious Parkway condos at 2601 Pennsylvania ave., Philadelphia, PA needed to give crews access to the entire façade of their building, for repointing, masonry and window work, so they called Superior Scaffold. The Watermark at Logan Square is a retirement community in Center City, Philadelphia providing independent living, assisted living, skilled nursing and memory care in a continuum of care. Maze of Hi load shoring frames for Medford Leas Retirement Community

Superior Scaffold provided the shoring support for the new edition at the Medford Leas Continuing Care Retirement Community on Route 70 in Medford, NJ. This maze of hi-load shoring frames was needed to support an 8” concrete slab with a 1.5” thick Epicore metal deck. We supplied 200 shoring frames, 800 hi-load jacks and 150 10’ aluminum beams that supported the weight while the new concrete was poured on top. In honor of 40 years of SNL (Saturday Night Live) I thought I’d post some pics of our emergency services overhead protection job at Hallahan Catholic Girl’s School. Superior Scaffold was called in to provide overhead protection so crews could repair pieces of the façade that were falling off. Superior Scaffold was called out to provide a system scaffold and containment wrap (enclosure) so crews could demo the front of this store and remodel it – during the winter months. Containment wrap is great for keeping the heat in and the elements out when working in cold conditions.
