Inside Out at the Kaiserman Jewish Community Center in Wynnewood, PA

I love it when I can detail a unique job and this was a perfect example. Superior Scaffold was called into the Kaiserman JCC to help shore up the ceiling joists so crews could repair the support brackets up against wall. There were a couple of challenges – the first being that the scissor lift had to get in behind the scaffolding so crews could get to the brackets for the repairs. As Louis Prima once sang, “Swing, swing, swing” – oh wait, close… “Sing, Sing, Sing – (with a swing)” so we just added the W. Sounds better this way. But that’s just what Superior Scaffold did on the third phase of this project. (See part 1 – and part 2). The Sterling House Apartment Homes is a unique building at the corner of JFK blvd and 18th in downtown Philly. Judging from the story and the new pics in todays Philadelphia Inquirer piece – the renovation of M. Night Shyamalan’s old house was a smashing success. A lot of the renovation work at The Sterling House Apartments (18th & JFK Blvd) is being done at the TOP of the building. Updating the fitness center with an additional 1500 square feet, new equipment, personal TV’s, and larger windows with fantastic views of the city. Superior Scaffold was called out to the Frick Laboratory at Princeton University to build scaffolding for crews to get access to the 3 floors of the structure. Crews will then install trash chutes so they can demo the entire interior of the building. Superior Scaffold at the University of Pennsylvania, Market & 34th

University of Pennsylvania (U of P) is caulking and waterproofing the façade of their building at 3400 Walnut, (Market & 34th) Pennsylvania, PA 19104. Superior Scaffold provided an intricate sidewalk canopy (sidewalk shed), with overhead protection, 2 blocks long that would allow construction work to go on above while keeping the businesses open underneath.
