Christiana Hospital Expansion

Superior Scaffold tackles difficult Christiana Hospital Expansion in Newark, DE When Christiana Hospital in Newark, DE decided to expand their South wing they called on trusted masonry experts, Joseph Rizzo & Sons.  But Marc Rizzo, being a good production manager, took one look at this patient and realized that it was a little out of their normal scope – so he called Tony P at Superior Scaffold for assistance. The Friendship Gate, System Scaffold, Work Deck, Platform

The Friendship Gate 10th & Arch St., Philadelphia, PA Superior Scaffold was chosen to help with the extensive renovation. The giant Friendship Gate is the only authentic gate in the United States built by Chinese artisans. In 1983 the gate was made in Tianjin, China and shipped to Philadelphia. Wear and tear on the gate has dulled its original luster. Artisans from China are giving this amazing design from the “Ching Dynasty” a complete make over. Scaffold Highlights: Superior used 14' Aluminum trusses to span Arch Street. Scaffold allows artisans to touch all parts of the arch. Superior used water filled Jersey Barriers to...

Parc Rittenhouse – Cantilever 3 Floors

Parc Rittenhouse Sullivan Construction needed to add three floors to the top of the Parc Rittenhouse building in downtown Philadelphia and knew of Superior's experience with high exposure cantilever scaffolds. We had successfully completed a 10th floor cantilever system around three sides of Philadelphia's historic Victory Building. Utilizing shoring towers inside and aluminum beams jutting out the windows, Superior was able to lay a solid work deck around the entire 17th floor of the building. We then erected a 45' high systems scaffold to allow worker access to each of the floors as they were constructed....

Comcast Center – Suspended Scaffold Work Platforms

Comcast Center When asked to provide ceiling access for the enormous atrium in the newly built Comcast Tower, Superior's Bob Sarkisian thought of a revolutionary solution; Design and erect 6 high capacity suspended scaffold platforms, each strong enough to carry up to 3500 lbs. - a far less costly solution than a supported scaffold. Men and material could be loaded on to the scaffold from each floor and the ground. Remote motor operation allowed an operator to raise and lower each platform independently....
