Shoring and scaffolding Dodge Hall, Princeton University

When the good folks at Princeton University decided to add a new elevator to Dodge Hall, and had to remove an entire interior support wall to install it, they called Superior Scaffold to shore up the entire inside of the building. Dodge is one part of Murray-Dodge Hall and was constructed in 1900. The two buildings are joined by a cloister. Not a term you hear much anymore - cloister. Superior Scaffold is providing the shoring for this massive 3 story renovation of the Sears store at the Willow Grove Park Mall. This enormous remodel is being done to open up the store, change the current layout and split it into two separate businesses. But in order to do so they must move escalators, elevators and staircases. And because they have to cut through the concrete slabs on all 3 levels they are also having to beef up and add new structural steel, new footers and support columns to carry the weight. Maze of Hi load shoring frames for Medford Leas Retirement Community

Superior Scaffold provided the shoring support for the new edition at the Medford Leas Continuing Care Retirement Community on Route 70 in Medford, NJ. This maze of hi-load shoring frames was needed to support an 8” concrete slab with a 1.5” thick Epicore metal deck. We supplied 200 shoring frames, 800 hi-load jacks and 150 10’ aluminum beams that supported the weight while the new concrete was poured on top. This particular location in West Windsor, NJ used to be a large Barnes and Noble store – and now it’s being converted into a new Bahama Breeze. The 26-year-old MarketFair shopping center is in the middle of design changes and a rebirth that promises new stores and lots of food.
