Superior Scaffold salesman, Anthony Pini rocked the house on this job at the University of Pennsylvania’s ARCH Building (Arts, Research and Culture House) in Philadelphia, PA. Not only did he meet the client’s needs on every phase, but he went so far as to bring the crews coffee and donuts on several occasions. He’s is certainly the king of customer service for Superior Scaffold. This is a very deceptive job from the outside because it’s shrouded from trees, signs, and netting. How do you change light bulbs on the ceiling above a giant spiral staircase that descends several floors? You can see the light fixtures just out of reach from the railing in the shot. Sure, you could dangle precariously from several extension ladders, or you could cautiously lean over the edge while your coworker holds onto your belt loop while you reach with all of your might to grasp the super hot bulb and pray that you didn't piss them off in the past. Now, you might be asking yourself, why would Superior Scaffold put something that is normally outside on the sidewalk, inside a hospital? Here is another unique scaffolding job. It just goes to show you that when you think you’ve seen it all - think again. Here is a chapel inside of a hospital, and not just any hospital, mind you. This is in the heart of Our Lady of Lourdes Medical Center, Camden, New Jersey. And what makes this even cooler is that the altar literally sits directly below the statue of the blessed Mother. When St. Mary’s Ukranian Church in Mcadoo, PA needed a scaffolding company to erect scaffold for painters to restore the exterior luster of their beloved church - they turned to Superior Scaffold. So, not only did we help scaffold the building for the new support steel but we just installed the canopy at the entryway. Every now and then, a really cool use for scaffolding comes across my desk, and this is one of those times. Maybe I’m just genuinely curious as to how stuff works but I thought I’d pass this along. This is the top of giant electric turbine at the Calpine Energy, Delta, PA power plant. The plant is a state-of-the-art, combined cycle, power generating plant powered mainly by natural gas. Superior Scaffold at Bachelors Barge Club (Est 1853), Philadelphia, PA. Bachelors boathouse #6, (built in 1893) is repairing part of the exterior of their house on Philadelphia’s historic Boathouse row. Superior provided canopy protection for the side of the building while erecting system scaffold above - so crews could get access to the spots that needed repairing without hindering daily operations. Artist Ben Long’s ‘Scaffolding Sculptures’ are series of three-dimensional constructions made from conventional scaffolding components. Superior Scaffold was called out to the Frick Laboratory at Princeton University to build scaffolding for crews to get access to the 3 floors of the structure. Crews will then install trash chutes so they can demo the entire interior of the building. Princeton University officials say that the former Frick lab will remain vacant until renovation funds become available. The Frick Lab is named after industrialist and art patron Henry Clay Frick (1849-1919).
