Bridge on Race is a new high rise apartment building designed for modern living in Old City. The look is elegantly contemporary in a neighborhood with some of the oldest streets and structures in the country. This great looking old structure was known as the Bell Telephone Building back in the day. But in the early 1980's the government broke up what was one of the largest monopolies in US history. This effectively took what was the Bell Telephone System and split it into entirely separate companies that would continue to provide telephone service. They would be known as baby Bells. The sister skyscraper to Harnwell and Harrison House is getting a much needed facelift after forty years of weathering the elements. (You can read all about the Harwell renovation job we did here last year on our blog.) This uniquely shaped building at 3901 Locust Walk is a 25-story apartment complex that houses roughly 820 residents and is part of the university’s student housing. Superior Scaffold was called in to give masonry restoration crews total access around the entire structure.
