It’s not fancy but this 15’ high, frame scaffold, rolling tower with a stair tower access instead of the usual hook on ladder had to be erected with the utmost care. Our scaffold was erected to help get Chinese researchers and their equipment up to the top of this 500-year-old, hand carved ceiling that was originally installed over a Buddhist altar from the Ming dynasty. Superior Scaffold provided our TP-2500 transport platform to crews at the historic Rodney Court apartment building (now Birchwood at Rodney Court) for a complete interior restoration. This is a pretty cool job for lots of reasons. We had to use system scaffold to reach each level of this six-story building and then deck it in as a sort of landing platform for crews to get their materials in through windows on each floor. We have been all over the exterior of the Firestone Library, on the Princeton campus, doing renovations so this time I thought I’d take you inside. Just like our work on the outside, Superior Scaffold was brought in by GC, Massimino Building Corp. to give access to the entire ceiling area at the entrance of the library. Crews needed to demo the old ceiling to replace and upgrade ductwork directly above the entryway and lobby. Now each of these could be its very own post but I thought I’d combine them into one article of cool scaffold jobs. The idea is to show two interesting applications for scaffolding that you might not have considered. I do know a Bronwyn… so I had to hit the google and see just what is the definition of Conwyn. Here’s what I found. _______________ Yep. Nothing. I couldn’t even get to the root of the word. Broad Street, Philadelphia (yes, Philly has a Metropolitan – not just NY) is undergoing a $56 Million restoration as a new Live Nation concert venue. Superior Scaffold does its part to help the rejuvenation of Wilmington’s central business district. We provided our TP-2500 transport platform and several mast climbing units to help BPGS construct this $75 million, 231 unit luxury apartment complex in downtown. The Residences at Mid-Town Park, located at 820 N. Orange St, are getting high end amenities such as 12,000 square feet of retail space, a 511 space parking garage, demonstration kitchens and dog-washing stations in each unit.
